Hello! I'm Ashley — a product-minded professional with a background in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Toronto, and a deep belief that the best products are built at the intersection of rigorous data and genuine human empathy.
I'm currently an Associate Project Manager at Mightex, where we build scientific instruments that help researchers understand how the brain works. Over the past three years I've grown from prototyping no-code neuroscience analysis tools to leading our largest product initiative to date: Turnkey Systems — a "plug-and-play" configuration-driven platform that reduces researcher setup time from hours to under 10 minutes. Along the way I built a sales intelligence dashboard in Python and SQL that surfaced over $1.2M in revenue leakage, and led a cross-functional team migration to Jira that cut project cycle time by 20%. I am actively seeking my next role in Product.
Beyond the day job, I serve as Director of Finance at Stars for Scholarly Youth, a national non-profit governing university chapters across Toronto, Alberta, and Calgary — where I treat financial reporting the same way I treat product analytics: a tool for surfacing hidden inefficiencies and designing systems that are easier to use than to ignore.
My passion for equity in education started in April 2020, when I co-founded Side by Side Agency — scaling from free tutoring into a virtual research program that reached 2,000+ students and helped 50 high schoolers publish capstone work in academic journals.
Right now I'm actively exploring the Web3 and DeFi space — analyzing on-chain data, digging into DEX liquidity mechanics, and connecting the dots between the data infrastructure I've built at Mightex and the emerging world of decentralized systems. I volunteered at the 2022 Blockchain Futurist Conference, and was part of the first cohort of Polkadot Blockchain Academy.
When I'm not at a live music event, you can find me biking around the city, playing tennis, or capturing the city's moments through my film camera. I'm currently reading The Lean Startup by Eric Ries.
Here are some of my statistics case competitions with my team Prospective Analytics and other projects.
In April 2020, I founded an educational nonprofit called Side by Side Agency as a response to COVID-19. In summer of 2021, we ran a two-month virtual research program along with 25 university mentors, professors, and librarians for 50 high school students and submitted their capstone project to research journals. We also hosted school information events on Zoom and IG Live to over 2,000 students.
